A fragment of a copper alloy vessel of medieval date. The fragment is part of the leg of a probable cooking vessel such as a posnet. The leg is a narrow rectangular shape in section curving slightly to one end. The front has a single shallow raised rib running centrally along its length though is otherwise undecorated. Pale grey core, laminated with a clean fracture with abundant well-sorted black grit inclusions >0.5mm, and off-grey almost cream coloured surfaces. Occasional voids c.0.2-0.6mm diameter are evident on the interior surface but their nature is not clear in the fabric in section. Heavily abraded on all faces. Pedestal foot from a large beaker. Hard, smooth-textured fabric with finely irregular fracture; orange-yellow core, off-white at the surfaces with a think dark brown slip. A late Iron Age to early Roman rim sherd, probably of East Sussex Ware dating from c. 50 BC - AD 100. The fabric is of a very dark grey on both surfaces, soapy in texture and filled with grog temper. The external diameter is approximately 11 cm and the internal diameter is 10 cm. The rim sherd measures 36.9mm long, 14.8mm wide. 11.3mm thick and weighs 6 grams.

A rim sherd of a find sand-tempered cooking pot with stamped decoration, probably dating to between AD 1275-1375. Probably Ringmer ware. The flat outer decorated edge of the rim is approximately 15.8 mm thick and has a raised outer circumferential band with incised stamped sub-triangular shapes, four remaining completely and a fragment of a fifth visible near one surface break. A cast copper alloy vessel or bucket mount or escutcheon in the shape of a bull's head, dating from the late Iron age to the mid-Roman period, about 100 BC - AD 300. The bovine head tapers to a rounded snout and has a pair of horns curving forwards, the tips of which have broken away in antiquity and are now missing.
