A fragment of an Early-Medieval copper-alloy flat-banded annular brooch, later 5th century to 6th Century AD. The surviving fragment suggests that the brooch originally had a diameter of approximately 50.5mm and that just over a quarter of the frame is represented by this fragment. The band has a width of 9.6mm. The inner edge is folded-under and lies flat along the reverse surface extending to approximately halfway across the width of the band. The frame of the brooch would have had a very flat oval cross-section but has a flattened elliptical cross-section, similar in profile to an …

A possible copper alloy strap end dating to the early medieval period c. AD 750 to 1100.
The object is sub-rectangular in plan with a circular section. The object flattens at one end and tapers to a rounded point at the other end. At the pointed end there is incised decoration which could be eyes and ears although this section is quite worn. From there there is some simple ring and dot decoration, again incised which stops at a narrow collar. There are some incised D-shapes before the flattened section. There is some iron corrosion along the flattened edge and there appears to be …

An incomplete early Anglo-Saxon S-shaped brooch. The brooch is made of copper-alloy and dates from the fifth or sixth century.
The zoomorphic plate brooch comprises the curved S-shaped body of the brooch and one terminal which is in the form of a bird's head. The beak is curved downward and is open, possibly holding something. There are openwork gaps between the upper and lower beak and between the lower beak and the neck. The tip of the beak joins to the chest via an object that looks rather like a fish's fin; it is decorated with moulded recessed lines. A moulded circular reces…
