Post Medieval brass toy cannon. The barrel and trunions are complete but the frame it was originally mounted in is lost. Probably dating to between c1700 and c1900 AD. It appears to have been turned or finished on a powered lathe so most likely to have been constructed in the late 1800's. The length is 31mm, the width is 13mm and the weight 3.29g.

A lead alloy cloth seal probably dating from the 16th century. The front of the disc has a raised design consisting of a crowned Lombardic letter H flanked by two sprigs of foliage within a beaded circle. there may have been a legend beyond the circle. On the reverse there is a central flattened projection or rivet. Compare NLM-3BF1C1 and IOW-4A5FC1 as well as LIN-A05668 which has the legend HENRICVS REX surrounding the design surviving. A rim sherd from a Roman (AD c.150-250) Black Burnished ware vessel. The fabric is hard and coarse, with a burnished black surface, a reddish orange oxidised outer layer and a dark grey reduced core. There are frequent quartz inclusions. The vessel was possibly handmade. Overall, the sherd measures 18.60mm in height, 30.40mm wide and 10.00mm thick. The wall thickness is 5.60mm. It weighs 5.74g.

A complete lead spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it and a break through one edge. Both surfaces are decorated with irregularly spaced raised lines and pellets though the degree of wear makes it difficult to determine the exact nature of this decoration. The metal is a mid whitish-brown colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 31.2mm in diameter, 8.8mm thick and weighs 27.3g. The perforation is 15.7mm in diameter.
