An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy rose and orb Nuremberg jetton. Anonymous issue (c. 1500-c. 1585) with fictitious inscriptions. Initial mark: illegible. Similar to Mitchiner 1988: 383, ref: 1252.
Obverse: [ ]OB[ ]BE?OB?; Three crowns alternating with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central five petalled rose
Reverse: [ ]EBO[ ]B?OEBOEBI; Imperial orb surmounted by a cross pattée within a double stranded tressure, all within a circle, three pairs of annulets around tressure
Diameter: 25.5mm. Weight: 0.85g.

A complete struck / hammered copper alloy jetton, of uncertain issuer, but probably struck in Nuremberg, Germany as part of the rose / orb series during the Late 16th to Early 17th Centuries AD. Obverse type and legend unclear. Reverse legend is illegible but depicts a probable imperial orb.
