An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy rose and orb Nuremberg jetton. Anonymous issue (c. 1500-c. 1585) with fictitious inscriptions. Initial mark: illegible. Similar to Mitchiner 1988: 383, ref: 1252. Obverse: [ ]OB[ ]BE?OB?; Three crowns alternating with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central five petalled rose Reverse: [ ]EBO[ ]B?OEBOEBI; Imperial orb surmounted by a cross pattée within a double stranded tressure, all within a circle, three pairs of annulets around tressure Diameter: 25.5mm.
