A medieval (1300-1400) clasp. An incomplete cast copper-alloy folding strap clasp of Medieval date. It is missing its plate due to old breaks. The frame is damaged and misshapen with the inner edge bar missing. The outer edge is zoomorphic in form with incised decoration on the front face. A rim sherd of a ceramic vessel of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The fabric is fairly soft, the breaks are abraded and it is light grey in colour. It has frequent angular white and light grey inclusions (quartz?) and some mica; it is probably a local greyware. The rim had an internal diameter of about 190mm. The rim is inverted but folded down outwards to form a beaded rim. There are two circumferential grooves decorating the area below the rim. The wall has a thickness of 6.6mm.

A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or loop of Medieval date. It has a rectangular frame that is rectangular in section with an expanded outer edge that is trapezoidal in section. At the centre of the bottom edge is a circular rivet hole containing the incomplete remains of a separately cast cylindrical rivet. The frame measures 15.54mm in external length, 14.10mm in height, 3.63mm in width/depth, 1.69mm in thickness, and weighs 1.28g. This strap loop is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 1248-1250) and is of 14th century AD date

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date. It has oval loops that are D-shaped in section and separated by an integrally cast bar that is triangular in section. The pin is missing due to old breaks but there are traces of iron corrosion around the bar and at the centre of one outer edge indicative of where it was originally positioned. The entire object measures 19.35mm in width, 23.63mm in length, 3.40mm in thickness and 2.85g in weight. It is of Post-Medieval date, c.16th-17th centuries AD.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of probable Medieval date. It has oval loops separated by an integral bar that is oval in section. The front faces of the loops are decorated with multiple oblique grooves and the pin is missing due to old breaks. It measures 46.97mm in width, 45.89mm in length, 4.59mm in thickness and 22.26g in weight. This buckle is of probable Medieval date, similar to an example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 342), c.15th century AD.

A post medieval copper alloy square French coin weight for the half ecu dating AD1475-1654. The coin weight is square and flat in shape. On one face is an emblem of the sun within a crowned shield within a circular pelleted border. The other face is stamped with II D and X V below. This type of weight is an English or French weight for the French half ecu, which were issued between AD 1475 to 1654.
