A gold quarter stater of the Eastern British area, of the Trinovantes tribe and Tasciovanus as ruler, c. 20 BC - AD 10. Reverse shows a winged horse (Pegasus) left, pellet below. Obverse shows TASC inside quad with lines above and below. See Rudd, C. Ancient British Coinage no.2601. Also see Hobbs, R. British Iron Age Coins in the British Museum 1996 pl.52, p.116, nos.1647-1650. Die axis is 3 o'clock. Weight is 1.35g, diameter is 10.7mm, thickness is 1.8mm.
