A complete, cast copper alloy spherical rumbler bell (crotal), dating to the Post Medieval period. The bell comprises two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere has two circular sound holes with an integral rectangular and drilled suspension loop projecting from the top between them. Possible Post-medieval copper alloy tool, maybe a chisel. There is a bulbous collar stop between the tang and the wide flat blade. The tang appears bent but it may have had a curved handle or been one end of a double bladed tool. The object is corroded. Possibly made for use in an industry were a non sparking tool was desireable, eg for use in maitaining mill machinery. Probably dates to between c1500 and c1900 AD. Post-medieval (1500-1700) strap fitting (belt mount): The copper alloy strap fitting is a simplistic acorn design. It is sub-oval in plan with the upper half being slightly narrowed. Both terminals have an integral knop. Bisecting the two half is a linear ridge defined by two incised grooves which meet in the centre. Medieval or post-medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame. The frame has two oval loops which are D-shaped in section with flat backs. The strap bar is plain and the pin is missing. The surface is badly corroded, obscuring any decoration or pin rest. The loops are irregular with areas that are thicker and wider seemingly at random, it is unclear if this is due to corrosion or mis-casting. Post-medieval cast copper alloy double-loop buckle frame, missing its pin and plate. It has oval loops which are D-shaped in section with a flat, plain back. At the centre of the outerside of each loop is an oval expansion moulded into a rose shape. On one expansion is a lump of iron corrosion, possibly from the pin. Medieval harness mount (12th to 13th centuries): The copper alloy mount is rectangular in plan, with a rounded upper edge and folded lower edge. This fold has a vertical slot in the centre. The reverse has an integral stud on the upper portion which is incomplete. The surface is abraded and has a matte green colour. The mount measures 17.93mm long, 6.92mm wide and 4.37mm thick. A copper alloy late-Medieval to Post Medieval (AD 1475-c.1654) uniface coin weight. It measures 13.90 in diameter and 3.10mm thick. It weighs 3.09g. The obverse shows a crowned sun in shield motif. According to Withers and Withers (1995 Lions Ships and Angels: Identifying Coin-Weights Found in Britain, 39) this is an English weight for the French ecu au soleil. The ecu was worth four English shillings in 1525.

The pin bar is slightly off centre, forming the double loops, with half missing due to rough breaks. The remaining pin bar expands widthwise to form a collar before narrowing and terminating in the break. Before the break, it narrows to form a recessed pin slot.
