A complete silver ear ring of probably 19th century date. The ear ring consists of a hollowed crescentic ear ring hoop, which is pointed oval in cross-section. The hollow ear ring hoop seems to have been formed around a shaft of probable silver. One end of the hoop is pierced with a small circular silver rivet, which holds the curved ear ring shaft in place; the shaft still articulates from this rivet-point and rests in the hollow opening of the other side of the hoop.
