A Medieval silver annular brooch dating from about AD 1200-1400. The frame is sub circular in plan and D-shaped in profile. It has six evenly spaced collets around the frame. Between each collet the frame is decorated with a raised area filled with tiny raised pellets and with traces of gilding. Two collets contain a clear pink glass setting; the remaining four are empty. The back face of the brooch is flat and undecorated. The pin is looped round a constriction in the frame. It is also made of silver and has a cast collar. The brooch has a dark grey patina. Iron horseshoe. Wrought iron shoe with broad arms meeting at an ogival internal angle. One arm or branch is solid and thickened at its end while the other is turned over. Copper alloy coins [three] stuck together, of diameters 17.3mm, 15.1mm and 14.9mm. One (that of diameter 15.1mm) has an obverse indicating the group is likely to comprise 4th-century Nummi, probably of the House of Constantine (306-361). Other detail is obscured, though it seems likely these are from a larger group, as 'missing' coins have also marked these where they formerly overlapped. Suggested date: Late Roman, 330-361. An incomplete copper alloy multifoil mount of medieval date. Only half the mount survives. Originally it would have been circular, concave below and convex above, with 12 moulded lobes on the upper face. These appear to have been stamped out rather than trimmed to shape. There is a small circular hole in the centre of the mount. Its surface is tinned. Two similar octofoil mounts are illustrated by Egan and Pritchard (1991, 194, fig.122, no's:1034&1037), but multifoil mounts such as this one appear less common. A central motif comprises a transverse oval indentation with four equidistantly spaced trifid sprays springing from it, and with a lis at either end of the field. A gold finger ring dating to the medieval period, c. 15th century. The ring is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section. The hoop is quite broad at 7.24 mm in width. The outer face of the hoop of the ring has incised decoration two hands and two feet each of which has a circular hole through it. There is also a simple heart shape which has a pointed oval shape on the left side, perhaps to represent the piercing of the heart.
