A very worn and extremely clipped Medieval silver long cross penny of possible Edwardian issue, c. AD 1279-1377. The entire legend on both sides has been clipped to the inner beaded circle, leaving no information regarding obverse or reverse legend or mint. The obverse depicts a crowned bust facing with bifoliate side fleurs, bushy hair and a pellet is visible by the neck on the right. According to Wren 1995, a pellet by the neck is used for pennies issued by Edward I (Class 10 ab) in London and an Irish issue of Edward IV. The detail on the other side of the neck is illegible.
