A Post Medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I, dating to AD 1571. Initial mark: castle. Mint of London (Tower). Cf. North 1991 Vol II, no. 1997. The coin shows fine definition although it is bent around its circumference and there are scratch marks to the obverse.

An extremely worn and degraded silver plated copper-alloy copy of a Post Medieval silver hammered coin, possibly three-farthings of Elizabeth I. Possibly mint of London. Only very few traces of decoration are visible and there is a high degree of base metal corrosion coming through the remaining silver.
