An incomplete and large cast copper-alloy object, either a terret ring or bridle bit, of probable Iron Age date. The loop is oval in form, circular in section and with extensive use-wear visible at the centre of its outer edge. Where the sides of the loop curve around to meet at the base of the object there is an internal projection formed from two opposing crescent shaped or hooked motifs. A cast lead object, probably a palm guard of Medieval or later date. It is semi-circular in plan, dome-shaped and with a slightly convex back face. The object is undecorated but has a projecting collar along one side and a circular indentation at the centre of the back face. It measures 62.30mm in length, 52.49mm in width, 9.50mm in thickness, and weighs 145.03g. This object probably served as a simple palm guard used for leather working and similar activities. It is likely to be of Medieval or later date.
