Silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307) or Edward II (1307-1327). The coin was struck at the mint in York but the coin is heavily worn and clipped; almost all defining features are lost. In the reverse inscription the C has a pointed back - which could indicate it being from Class 11 which would date the coin to c. 1310 - 1314 during the reign of Edward II.
