A cast copper alloy fob, hanger, or dangler of late Iron Age (pre-Roman) date (100BC - AD 80). The fob is incomplete being broken across the projecting shank extending from the centre of the reverse; this break is old and patinated and the surface is unworn. Due to the break the shank and perforated loop is lost. The dangler is well cast with a circular disc / head which is augmented with an incised and pierced decoration. A lead-alloy weight of probable medieval to early post-Medieval date. The sub-conical weight has been formed by rolling a piece of sheet and capping the base by inserting a disc, which has now slipped out of its original position. The central vertical aperture is of sub-rectangular cross section, the top opening is irregular and there is a vertical seam where the two sides of the sheet meet. The weight has a greyish silky white patina. Aperture at the base 3.58 mm. Top 3.00 mm x 10.19 mm. Height 24.16 mm. Diameter at the base 16.79 mm. Top 10.72 mm. Weight 26 grams.

Post medieval copper alloy contemporary copy of a shilling of George III (1760-1820), dated 1817 on coin, Spink 3790. Besley and Boon (in Brennan 1991:15, no.28) report a similar copy and suggest they were relatively common in this period when people were still becoming familiar with the new style of coinage. Presumably it was silver plated, however, no traces are remaining. Weight: 4.07g, Diameter: 23.63mm, Thickness: 1.52mm. Similar contemporary copies can be seen at: SOM-720190 & DEN-E286E1.

An incomplete copper-alloy, Medieval (1200-1400) harness pendant suspension mount, measuring 19.1x8.1x2.2mm and weighing 1.3g. The mount has a sub-rectangular body with a recess forming two arms. These would have held an iron axis bar, on which the pendant would have been suspended. Traces of iron corrosion product survive in the holes on these arms. Extending from the sub-rectangular body at the other end is a circular section which is plain and flat. To the reverse is a single circular integral shank for attachment with a flattened top. The weight is circular in plan, has convex surfaces and a central vertical aperture which tapers from one end to the other (11.25mm to 8.22 mm). It has a worn greyish patina with flecks of white. Height 13.46 mm. Diameter 25.40 mm. Weight 43 grams. The form of this weight suggests that it may be a spindle whorl.

Incomplete tinned cast copper alloy sub-rectangular shoe buckle with drilled frame for a separate spindle. The frame has rounded expanded ends and raised sides at either end of the spindle holes. The inside of the frame has a bevelled inner edge and hollowed back so that it is lozenge-shaped in section. There is a moulded collar at the back of the frame around each of the spindle holes drilled into the frame where there is evidence of iron corrosion from the separate steel spindle, now missing. Incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle with external lobed knops at each corner of the frame and at either end of the strap bar, missing most of its right loop and its pin. The remaining loop is oval in plan and plano-convex in section with a bevelled inner edge. The bar is narrowed and recessed and triangular in section. There are patches of black lacquer remaining on both the upper face and the back of the frame. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle frame on page 63, No.382, which is dated from c.1550-1650.

Incomplete tinned copper alloy double-looped oval buckle, missing most of one of its loops, with an openwork heart-shaped motif terminating in a trefoil knop on the outer edge of the remaining loop. The strap bar is narrowed but flush with the frame, and there is a lobed knop at either end of the bar. The pin is missing that would have curled around the strap bar.
