An iron spear of Modern date, possibly a replica or ethnographic piece.
It has an angular blade which is a lozenge in section. The neck is sub-square in section and the socket is a rounded square near the neck, gradually changing to oval in section at the end. The socket appears to be of solid construction. An unusual feature, and the one that indicates a Modern date, is a bolt across the socket of which only the hexagonal head and nut can be seen projecting from the sides of the socket.
