An incomplete cast copper alloy asymmetrical double-looped buckle dating to the Post Medieval period circa AD1600-1700. The pin is missing but the buckle frame is complete and in fair condition. In plan, the buckle frame is sub-rectangular. One loop is sub-rectangular, the other loop is slightly larger with more rounded corners. The longer sides of the buckle are D-shaped in section. The side of the buckle frame where the end of the pin would have rested is rounded in plan with a slight bulge on the inside edge of the loop. A cast copper alloy double-looped spectacle buckle dating to the early Post Medieval period, circa AD1550-1650. The pin and the pin bar are missing, but the buckle frame is complete and in fair condition. The buckle is sub-oval in plan. Owing to the missing pin bar, the buckle now has 1, oval loop but originally would have had 2 equally sized D-shaped loops. The longest sides of the frame have moulded decoration comprising of a groove or recess which would have aligned with the pin bar.
