Medieval copper alloy buckle plate. D-shaped, recssed for (missing) frame, slot for (missing) pin, broken at the fold, backplate missing, with three rivet holes one of which is blocked by iron corrosion. Decoration comprises a single engraved line border, with two longitudinal engraved lines either side of the pin slot, 5 or 6 lonitudinal lines within a D-shaped field behind the pin-slot and gilding. Measuring 27 x 32mm. For similar examples see NMS-78C9B1, NMS-5D2021 and NMS-52BC60. 1150 - 1300.

A Post Medieval lead-alloy shot, dating from c.AD 1600- AD 1800.The shot is overall spherical in shape and measures12.5mm in diameter. There are slight traces of a mould line running around the circumference and a casting sprue is still attached at one end. Overall the surface is smooth and has a whitish-gray patina.

A Post Medieval lead-alloy musket ball, dating from c.AD 1700- AD 1800.The musket ball is overall spherical in shape and has broad raised strip around the circumference. There are two grooves at one side along the broad strip; there is also a dent in one of the hemispheres. The surface is smooth and has a light gray patina.The broad strip suggests that the musket ball was for use with a two groove rifle and is probably of a post 17th century date.

An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type, West Midlands), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.b. no. 1901, Plate 46, dating to the Roman period, circa AD80-120. The head of the brooch including a wing and a spring hook survive. The brooch was damaged in antiquity.
