Cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant of probable 14th-century (c.1250 - c.1450) date. The pendant is mostly complete and well preserved - however it has lost much of its inlaid enamel surface. In plan the pendant is sub-triangular (shield shaped) and the edges of the front face are faceted but distorted. In cross section the pendant is sub-rectangular. An integral cast suspension loop is present on the upper edge of the pendant; this is set at an angle of 90 degrees to the plane of the pendant. Lead alloy plate fragment. Sherd from the rim of a concavo-convex plate, dish or lid., probably lathe finished, of estimated diameter 90mm. A circumferential rib follows the rim close to the edge on both sides. The object is broken at the position of a thicker circumferential rib which stands proud of the convex side only, close to the middle of the object, and also at both sides. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1800. Length: 35mm, Width: 26.8mm, Thickness:1.5mm, Weight: 8.19gms.

Copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 5.a3, flat wing ends type, Western Group). Rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings hold the spring support bar, the spring is made from iron and is now heavily encrusted, the pin is missing. three shallow ridges run from the top of the head , narrowing to the apex of the where they terminate. Copper alloy with enamel brooch. Hinged Colchester derivative, Mackreth Type CD H 9.d. Tubular wings clenched behind retaining an axis bar for a hinged pin, met by a tapering D section bow with three rectangular cut outs below its crest; the uppermost retaining dark blue enamel. The lower bow tapers towards a moulded protruding rounded foot with the stub of an unpierced catch plate behind it.
