A complete copper alloy finger ring with incised decoration, most likely of medieval date (1200 to 1500 AD). The finger ring consists of a cast copper alloy hoop with incised decoration. It has a square shaped cross section. The hoop exhibits a repeating series of small diagonal incised lines all around the circumference of the hoop. The interior of the ring is plain and undecorated. No inscription is presnet. The ring measures: 20.2 mm external diameter, 17.5 mm internal diameter, 2.1 mm width and 1.5 mm thick. It weighs 1.2 grams. The ring is mid to dark green colour with a…

An incomplete cast copper-alloy finger ring of Roman date. Only the shoulders and bezel of the ring survive intact, the remainder missing due to old breaks. The shoulders are flat and expand slightly to encompass the oval shaped bezel. The bezel itself is raised and is decorated with eight unevenly punched dots. The fragment measures 13.73mm in length, 7.21mm in width, 2.03mm in thickness, and weighs 0.97g. It is of Roman date, c.43-410 AD (cf. SF-A30718, SF-BCD915).

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date. It has D-shaped loops with expanded outer edges, separated at their centre by an integral bar that is triangular in section. A separately cast copper-alloy pin that is triangular in form and oval in section hinges around the bare. The entire object measures 23.71mm in length, 17.49mm in width, 2.45mm in thickness and 2.57g in weight. This buckle is of Post-Medieval date, c.16th-17th century AD (as Margeson, 1993: no. 166).

A silver fragment from the outer edge of a single-loop buckle frame. The fragment has ornate moulded knops and transverse ridges with a central recess as a notch for the pin rest. The opposite side of the frame, the pin bar, would have held the pin and been attached to a silver plate. Each external circular knop on the frame fragment has a broken strip of silver cast as part of the internal edge, which would have continued to curve around to form the flat sides of the frame, now missing. An incomplete copper alloy Stirrup Strap Mount, of Late Saxon dating (11th Century AD). The stirrup strap mount is sub triangular in shape and irregular in cross section. The apex is incomplete, with the break across the top attachment hole. The front exhibits three (3) attachment holes: one (now incomplete) positioned centrally at the apex of the mount and two at the base, one containing the remains of an iron rivet. A seal matrix formed of a glass intaglio encased within a copper alloy frame, probably part of a fob seal and dating to the Georgian period of the 18th or maybe early 19th century. The intaglio bears the legend 'ICH KOMME WIDER' (I come again) curving over a sun with rays bursting from behind some clouds. The intaglio and casing is rectangular with angled corners. The casing has the remains of where the fob seal holder would have attached, and traces of gilding remain.
