A fragment of a Roman silver siliqua, possibly of Valens (AD 364-78), possibly dating to AD 375-8 (Reece Period 19), probably [V]OT [X]X [MVLT XXX]. Possibly mint of Constantinople. RIC IX, cf. 42; Hoxne, p. 140, cf 405-6 & pl. G, 405.1. This is a tentative identification, but appears to be the only likely possibility.

A fragment of a Post-Medieval (1500-1800) copper alloy hooked tag of Read's Class A Type 1. It measures 28.8x6.6x3.1mm and weighs 5.9g.
The tag consists of a single piece of copper alloy wire bent and flattened at the centre to form a long hook, each running end bending in the same plane to form an open loop to either side, the left hand-side loop has been broken and is missing. These loops would have been stitched to the fabric to secure the tag. The patina is dark brown with areas of corrosion.

A cast copper alloy trumpet headed brooch dating to the Roman period. The object consists of 'trumpet' shaped head with a concave reverse where the spring would have been housed. The spring and pin are missing from the rear of the head. At the top of the head are the remains of a suspension loop. The bow, which has a D-shaped section, emerges from the front, lower section of the head. Mid-way along the bow, at the apex of the curve, a disc with four incomplete projections is present.

A complete copper alloy cosmetic mortar of Roman date. The mortar is an elliptical bow with a central grooved channel and low convex walls, a broad rounded keel and a U-shaped cross section. One end terminates in a round blunted point and the other end terminates in an integral suspension loop.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The mortar is 70.8mm long, 11.1mm wide, 6.6mm thick and weighs 13.5g.
The mortar is one half of a cosmetic set, the other half would be a pestle, most probably used for grinding cosmetic material such as eye or face paint.

A fragment of Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval (1450-1550) copper alloy purse frame of Ward-Perkins (1940) type A1. It measures 49.9x7.9x4.5mm and weighs 8.7g.
The incomplete piece of pendant frame is roughly L-shaped in cross-section with five sewing holes; two of these are filled with corrosion/ dirt while anpther two (slightly larger) have been broken through close to the thinner inner rim.
