An incomplete cast copper-alloy pin head of probable Roman or Middle Anglo-Saxon date. It is solid, biconical in form with the remains of a slight collare at the base of the head. From the collar extends a thin, integrally cast shaft that is circular in section and terminates in old breaks just below the head. The pin measures 20.85mm in length, 8.30mm in diameter, and weighs 1.76g in weight. Cast copper-alloy pin heads of this type were utilised in the Roman and later periods, particularly during the Middle Anglo-Saxon period. It is possible, therefore, that this example does date as…

A cast copper-alloy thimble of Medieval date. It is complete but partially flattened on one side due to post-depositional damage. The thimble is hemispherical in form with an unthickened rim that is decorated with two incised parallel circumferential lines. Above the rim the sides of the thimble are decorated with numerous vertical rows of small circular indentations, above which are four circumferential rows of indentations leading to a bare tonsure at the top.
