A Post-medieval silver coin: a halfpenny of Henry VIII (1509 - 1547), first coinage, London mint dating from AD 1509 -1526; Withers' type 1Bc with a portcullis initial mark. There is some edge damage; a section of flan has broken away between 4 o'clock and 7 o'clock on the obverse. See North number 1779.
