An incomplete copper alloy, Late Early-Medieval stirrup strap mount (1000-1100), missing its rivets. It measures 47.29 mm in length, 31.87 mm in width, and 8.57mm in thickness at the flange (it is 2.72 mm thick at the central section of the mount). It weighs 21.18 g. The stirrup strap mount is a Williams Class A, Type 1. Similar stirrup strap mounts are to be found in Williams (pp.27 -29), the closest parallel being an example from Oliver's Battery, Winchester, Hampshire (cat no. 8). An incomplete copper alloy rotary key of probable Medieval dating (AD 1150 to AD 1400). The key is irregular in shape and cross section. The key can be described in several sections: The bow or handle, shank and bit. The bow is incomplete. It was probably sub lentoid (diamond) in shape, with parts of the sides surviving. A Post Medeival clipped or damaged and worn silver three-farthings of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603). North Numner either 2002 or 2038. This coin has all the characteristics of a three-farthings but does not appear to have the date above the reverse shield. Several other examples of this have been recorded on the database, including SUSS-E2BBF7 and NARC-FFF828; It is possible that these are small issue pennies.

The strap end is comprised of two plates which are sub-rectangular in plan, with a central projecting knop terminal and an attechment end consisting of three projecting triangles (or biconcave). There is a relief border around the edge of the weight. The lower surface has a series of circular grooves. The object is in fair condition. The coin weight is 19.6mm in diameter, 3.7mm thick and weighs 6.63 grams.
