A copper alloy harness mount dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250 to 1400. The object is shield shaped in plan with a very worn and corroded surface. The back of the object is flat and undecorated and while the stud is missing there is a small scar where it has broken off. The front of the object has the suggestion of a moulded design that is now unclear. Similar examples can be seen on the database: DUR-E2EB10, YORYM-3C6050 or WILT-F5E476. The mount is 24.8mm long, 23,2mm wide, 2.2mm thick and weighs 4.54 grams.
