A copper alloy contemporary copy of a half-crown of William III, dated 1696. The coin was probably originally silvered to give the impression of it being the official issue, however a number of these copies are known, most without retaining the silver coating. This example is the right size but is lighter than official issues, a trait often seen on forgeries of the period.

Incomplete copper alloy 8 maravedis of Felipe III (1598-1621) of Spain, but countermarked later under Felipe IV's reign (1621-1665) as an 8 maravedis 'resellado' which means 'resealed' or 'restruck'.
On the obverse, it has been re-stamped with a VIII to revalue it as 8 maravedis, over a square shield and under the date of '1652' within an oblong frame, and on the reverse it has the numeral '8' within a scalloped circle, and above it a crowned date of '1641' within a circle, all over a square shield. So the coin might have been restruck twice, in 1641 and then in 1652.
