An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy T-shaped brooch of plate-headed type, with hinge mechanism. It is missing the lower bow and catchplate . It measures 21.21mm in incomplete length and weighs 4.08grams. The wings are tubular with a large recessed pin slot with pin on the reverse. Incomplete copper alloy Roman Rosette bow brooch of the 'Keyhole' type, but a variant as it is hinged and not with a spring, which is more commonly found on Rosette brooches. The brooch is also not as thin in profile as the traditional 'Keyhole' type and has enamelled triangular facets on the head.
