A broken cast copper alloy plate from a strap fitting. The fitting has an attached bar mount held in place by two rivets. Cf Egan & Pritchard, Dress Accessories, nos. 732-742 for similar strap fittings.

Post Medieval (16th century) strap hook: The copper alloy hook has a inverted, elongated trapezoidal body with a rounded 'W' shaped upper edge and similar shaped lower side edges. The outer face of the body has a vertical, central, groove between circular rivet holes. Protruding, and integral, to the lower edge of the body is a sub-rectangular sectioned hook which forms a 'U' in profile and terminated with a blunt point. Copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount or belt stiffener) dating to the Post Medieval period, circa AD 1550-1700. The mount plate is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded corners and D-shaped in section. The middle narrows and forms three moulded ridges in the centre. On the reverse of the mount is a sub triangular rivet at either end. It measures 20.7mm in length, 16.1mm in height, 8.8mm in width and weighs 4.02g. A comparable belt mount is recorded in Margeson:1993, Page 41, fig 287 and around in a 16th century context and HESH-138D66.

A post-medieval gilt copper-alloy strap fitting or livery badge. It is in the form of a raptors claw, perhaps an eagle, depicted outstretched as if about to grab something.There are three claws; the flesh is decorated with random domes. The leg extends into three strands at the top, each having a rounded terminal. The strands are each decorated with ribs, perhaps representing hair.
