Roman to Medieval (mid 1st to 15th centuries) unidentified artefact: The copper alloy is composed of three integral elements which form a sub-L in profile. The upper portion of the vertical arm is an elongated conical which terminates with a blunt point. This is slightly obliquely angled compared to the lower portion of the arm. The lower portion of the arm is an elongated rectangular block, which on the reverse is flush with the upper conical. Post Medieval (mid 16th to 17th centuries) toy jug: An incomplete lead alloy miniature toy jug which is cast in a two piece mould as the seam is still visible along the side. The toy consists of a circular base with an abraded foot ring, and an incomplete bulbous container element. The exterior of which is undecorated. The rim is missing. The surface has a matte grey patina, and where there is damage it slightly flakes and is a light grey colour. It measures 16.49mm long, 25.72mm wide, and weighs 4.2g.

A possible Medieval or Post Medieval (12th to mid 19th centuries) cooking vessel leg: In plan the leg is a sub-rectangle with a narrow edge and portion of the long edge being obliquely angled as the leg is broken, but not recently. The opposite short edge, which is rounded, forms the foot. The leg is rectangular in section with rounded edges and the outer face is decorated with a slight central vertical ridge. Medieval (13th to 14th centuries) shield shaped harness mount: The copper alloy harness fitting is shield-shaped in plan and has a form of decoration on the outer face, possibly a lion rampant facing left, but the surface is so heavily abraded so this is not certain. The reverse of the mount has a obliquely angled sub-rectangular platform or loop, due to corrosion it is not certain the form of this element of the mount. The surface of the mount has traces of a heavy mid green patina. The mount measures 30.1mm long, 22.76mm wide and 6.76mm thick. It weighs 8.8g.

Possible Roman (1st to 4th centuries) copper alloy pin: The pin head is globular and tapers towards the integral pin shaft. The shaft protrudes from the base of the pin head and only a fragment remains. The break of the shaft is not recent. The pin has traces of a well developed mid green patina, otherwise it is heavily abraded and has red copper corrosion patches. The pin measures 19.44mm long, 7.53mm diameter. It weighs 1g.
The pin possibly dates to the Roman period.

Roman to Medieval (1st to 15th centuries) stud: The head of the copper alloy stud is sub-circular in plan with abraded edges, and is flat in profile and is undecorated. The base of the stud has an integral circular sectioned stud protruding which tapers to a very blunt point. The surface of the stud has traces of a well developed mid brown/green patina. The stud is 12.7mm long, and the head is 12.08mm wide. It weighs 2.4g.
The date of the stud is uncertain, but probably dates to the Roman to Medieval periods. The function of the stud or what is was attached to is also uncertain.
