A complete copper alloy weight of uncertain date. The weight is crude and has a circular base that tapers inwards slightly and curve at the top to form a dome, similar to a thimble shape. It has a large central pit on the base of the weight but it is difficult to determine how deep the pit is as it is filled with organic material from deposition. The weight is undecorated but pitted and worn. The weight is greenish-brown in colour. It is 20.13mm in height, 21.41mm wide and weighs 35.48g.

A complete conical lead weight (probably) of unknown date. It has a central hole running from top to bottom with a recessed ring around the hole on the base, probably as a result of the manufacturing process. Plain weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses, including for measuring, weighing down nets, as curtain pulls and window weights etc). They are hard to date precisely although most are late Medieval - Post Medieval.

A complete lead alloy circular flat weight, possibly a spinde whorl or loom weight, of Roman to Post Medieval date (AD 43 - AD 1650). The weight is sub-circular and roughly rectangular in cross-section. The perforation is off-centre. There are no markings or decoration on this object and out of context these types of finds are hard to date as they remained in use for a long period of time. Many lead alloy spindle whorls similar to this object are normally attributed to the Medieval period (c. AD 1100 to AD 1450). There is a direct relationship between the weight of the whorl and the t…

An incomplete lead weight of uncertain date. It is conical in profile with a circular base. The weight tapers from the base to a sub-rectangular apex where one point is slightly higher than the other. This is most likely the remnants of a suspension loop or perforation. The loop is missing due to either an old break or due to post-depositional processes. There is a flat, smooth recess that starts from the apex and stops abruptly about halfway down the weight. The weight is undecorated and it is white-greyish in colour. The weight is 33.49mm tall, 20.36mm wide, 7.81mm thick and weig…
