A very worn cut halfpenny of Henry III (AD 1216-1272), dating from the period AD 1247-1272. Vpided long cross type; the reverse legend is incomplete and hard to read but may read (R)OB/ERT (O and B and E and R ligated) for Robert, a name associated with several mints, or it is possibly (ON)B/ERI (letters ligated) for Bury St Edmunds, however the lettering bears more resemblance to the previous suggestion.
