A Post Medieval copper alloy Jetton of Louis XIV of France (AD 1643-1715), minted in Nuremberg by Conrad Lauffer c. AD1643-1668. The obverse depicts the King in profile facing right. The inscription reads LUD.XIII.D.G.FR.ET.NAV.REX. [Louis XIV, by the grace of God, king of France and Navarre]. The reverse depicts a shield containign three fleurs-de-lys and surmounted by a crown. The inscription reads CONRAD.LAUFFERS.RECHENPFENING [Conrad Lauffner's Jetton].
A parallel of the jetton can be found in Mitchiner (1988, no. 1764a). There is black discolouration on both sides of the coin.…

A copper alloy Rose and Orb Nuremberg jetton of Hans Krauwinckel II. Obverse; Central rose (8 petals) surrounded by alternate crowns and lis arranged centrifugally, HANNS KRAVWINCKEL IN NVR. Reverse; Imperial orb surmounted by cross patty in three arched tressure, GOTTES GABEN SOLMAN LOB (One should praise God's gifts). Mitchener Nos.1534-1539. Circa 1586-1635 AD.
