A Roman copper alloy nummus of the House of Constantine dating AD307-361. Mint: Arles. Reece Period 17 dating AD330-348. Reverse: Victory on prow. This coin has possibly been perforated for suspension. There is a circular depression on the reverse and what appears to be a hole on the obverse with the edges pressed outwards as if the coin has been perforated from the reverse to the obverse. However the possible perforation is filled with material which is obscuring if it is a perforation or some concretion cemented to the surface of the coin.
