A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1500-c. 1700).
This mount is sub-triangular in plan. It is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. At the centre there is a vertical elongated hole. At each upper corner a motif in the form of human head faces forwards. They appear to be male and bare headed. The lower corner is in the form of a rounded knop. On the rear face, at each side of the hole, there is an integral spike. Both are circular in cross-section.

A complete Roman copper-alloy mount or stud (c. AD 43-c. AD 200).
This mount is convex at the front and excepting the rivet, is concave at the rear. It is rectangular in plan and has two parallel transverse ridges at the front. Each end is flat. At the rear a central integral rivet has a shank which is circular in cross-section. The end of the rivet is burred over.
The mount is green with traces of a darker green patina. It is slightly worn at the front.
Length: 15.26mm; width: 9.20mm; thickness: 2.96mm; overall thickness: 8.40mm. Weight: 2.02g.
