A corroded wrought iron rotary key of a post-Medieval date. The bow is incomplete but was probably oval in plan. The stem is of oval cross section, with two baluster mouldings. The stem projects beyond the bit by 9.51 mm. The openwork bit is rectangular in plan, has two wards and three clefts on each side. Bit.22.35 mm x 24.71 mm x8.82 mm. Length of key 115.74 mm. Weight 75g. Probably a door key or gate key dating to the 18th century. For a parallel, see PAS record HAMP-0496A4.

An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy strap-fitting. The artefact consists of a blunt hook, bent slightly to one side, which holds a separate pendent ring. Above the hook the mount is sub oval with two lugs above that bifurcate forming a V shape. Beyond this is mount is broken, so that it is now incomplete. The mount was attached by a single iron rivet in the centre of the oval element, just below the bifurcation, the corroded remains of which are still present in the fitting. Incomplete post-medieval gilt copper alloy composite hooked tag of Read 2008, early post-medieval Class D, Type 2, with four elements secured by solder, circular plate with four trefoil knops, beaded annular border, hook and loop. Two small fragments attached to the inner edge of the border show that some form of applied ornament would have occupied the undecorated area within it. The hook is distorted, as is one of the knops. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch dating from the mid 1st to mid 2nd centuries, circa AD50-150. Classified as an Initial T-Shaped Brooch. The head of the brooch, including one complete and one damaged wing, survives as well as most of the bow. The spring, pin and foot of the brooch are missing due to old breaks. Report for H M Coroner Bottesford (addenda), Lincolnshire Richard Abdy 4 AR denarii to AD 207 - see also NLM-ADA762, NLM-C03203 and NLM-28BC26 (with a fifth, stray coin at NLM-28CBD5). Circumstances of discovery These addenda were found whilst metal-detecting on a number of occasions between 1997 - 2013. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting or strap slide loop, probably dating to the early Roman period (c. AD 43-200). The strap slide has a decorative head of an ornate flower or shell with extending lobe. The decoration is split over two levels and appears incomplete. The rounded lobe has a hollowed centre and it may have once contained enamel or coloured paste. On the reverse is a rectangular loop.
