A vessel fragment of Medieval/ Post-Medieval (1200-1800) copper alloy cooking vessel, measuring 33.48x35.32x3.71mm and weighing 11.01g. It has a prominent rib on the outside face, 2.5mm wide. No trace of this is visible on the inside surface, suggesting it may have had a decorative function. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1200-1800 for serving and cooking. A complete element from a pair of 17th century openwork cast copper alloy toggle clasps. The clasps would have been secured by a means of a twist and pull action. Fragment of Late Saxon lead model for a strap-end, tongue-shaped with a transverse break at the upper edge which is recessed on the reverse, the surviving stump above a transverse band, symmetrical decoration in low relief comprises a central calix flanked by bifurcated foliate tendrils and the remains of two possibly addorsed bodies of birds (heads missing) at a transverse break where the lower end is missing. The reverse is undecorated. Surviving length 23mm. Width 23mm. 3mm thick. Weighs 9.19g. 9th-10th century.

Part of a medieval to post-medieval copper alloy buckle frame, one incomplete loop which would have been riveted to an iron bar along with another separate loop. A plate, probably of iron, would have been folded around the bar. One of the two pierced terminals into which the bar would have been fitted is broken, the other contains iron corrosion. This unusual type of construction can be seen in examples from York (Ottaway and Rogers 2002, 2895 fig.1471 nos.14327 and 15191).
