A hand-wrought iron rivet of uncertain date.The head is square in plan, with a convex top and flat back. The shank is of rectangular cross section and tapers to a wedge-shaped end. This piece was probably for the reinforcement of a door. Head 57.58 mm x 58.59 mm. Thickness 16.58 mm. Shank length 31.35 mm. Weight 229g

A Roman copper-alloy finger-ring with intaglio of Henig type II dating to c. AD 50-150. The ring is pointed oval in section with a flatter but still convex inner side and convex outer side. The hoop widens and thickens towards the bezel which is continuous with the hoop with no distinct shoulders or flattening. In the bezel is set a large, oval, translucent blue piece, probably glass rather than a gem.
