A worn and corroded iron dove type horseshoe from the Medieval period. The shoe has a rounded frog, slightly inclined heel,and is flat in section. Both heels have turned down calkins. Each branch has three sub-rectangular nail holes which are recessed to accept T-shaped nails. This is probably a saddle shoe.

Treasure report: Description: post-medieval composite silver shoe or knee buckle . The frame of the buckle is cast with an integral cross bar/ spindle. On the frame and on each side of the bar there are three transverse grooves. The chape is silver sheet folded around the bar to form a hinged plate; in plan is has straight sides which tapers to a semi-circular end. At the end of the chape is a circular void which may have held a decorative stud. On this side is also a maker's mark 'ER'. The reverse of the buckle is plain.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The object is roughly half of a double looped asymmetrical buckle, the rectangular half being all that remains. Worn lobed protrusions project from either end of the strap bar and six lobed knops are present on the outer edge of the longest side of the loop. The pin no longer remains and patches of silvering can be seen over the surface.
The metal has a mid greyish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 17.9mm long, 18.4mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 12g.

The object is made of two parts; there is the main body of the brooch which is circular in plan and in section. Part of the pin also remains and this is tears-shaped in plan with a circular hole drilled through it for attachment to the body. The pin is incomplete. This brooch could have been of the annular type.

A gold posy ring. The outer hoop is plain and the finger-ring is D-shaped in section. The inner hoop bears a two line inscription in upper-case '+ REMEMBER HIM WHOM THIS DID GEVE/ WHO YELDES HIS HART WHILES HE DOTH LEVE'.
This is an unusual inscription which is not in The British Museum's collection or in J. Evans, English Posies and Posy Rings, Oxford, 1931.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy hair pin of Roman date. The terminal end survives, the shaft and tip now missing due to old breaks. The top of the shaft is cylindrical in form with a raised, cross-hatched cylindrical drum. Above this is an oval moulding or bead from the top of which extends the terminal knop. This is flat, disc shaped in form with a central circular aperture, a slight rectangular collar with incised transverse groove separating the terminal from the oval bead.
