Fifty-two sherds of Late Saxon Thetford-type pottery, five jar rims, two bowl rims, one rim of small bowl (possibly a lamp), six flat basal, three sagging basal, the remainder body. Weight 366g. c.850 - c.1100. As some rim sherds are somewhat finer in fabric than is normal for Thetford-type ware, there is a problem of indistinguishability and the possibility that some body sherds are Roman greyware.
