Incomplete Roman (100-250) copper alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch missing its (iron) pin. It measures 26.08x10.11x1.5mm (thickness excluding catchplate) and weighs 2.8g. The brooch is rectangular in form and depicts what appears to be a running dog. The ears are long and angled backwards, the tail curled upwards. Both forepaw and back leg terminate in a three-toed foot. There is a punched dot for an eye. The body of the animal is proud of the background which has traces of red enamel. A Medieval (1250-1450) copper alloy probable strap clasp. It has a plain rectangular frame with a projecting oblong integral attachment with ridged collar, rounded to one side and flat to the other. At this point on the inside edge of the frame is a flat semi-circular protrusion. The two connecting arms of the frame at this point extend downwards. It measures 37.16 x 22.39 x 3.94mm and weighs 7.1g.
