Medieval copper alloy buckle-plate. Rectangular, recessed for (missing) frame, slot for (missing) pin, broken at transverse fold, back-plate missing. Four rivet holes, three retaining rivets. The front of the plate is decorated with a single straight engraved line border and a central letter A with a broken cross bar, and traces of gilding. Meauring 35 x 15mm. 13th - 14th century.
