A late Mesolithic or Neolithic flint blade or flake: In section the blade is trapezoidal and in plan is sub-square. The dorsal surface has two main scars. The ventral surface has ripples, bulb of percussion and bulbar scars. The proximal end is broken and missing, but this is not a recent break. It measures 15.16mm long, 16.43mm wide, and weighs 1.6g. The flint is mottled pale blue/grey which is the patina. The blade dates to the late Mesolithic to Neolithic periods (-6500 - -2100).

A cast lead or lead alloy cap from a powder flask: It is cylindrical with a sealed terminal. The upper and lower edge of the cylinder is decorated with a fine line around the circumference. There is also a vertical casting seam visible. In plan the upper cap is sub-oval, and the lower edge of the walls is a pointed oval, all due to the cap being squashed. The walls of the object taper slightly towards the cap. On the upper face of the cap there is a short, oval sectioned shank. The surface of the cap is an oxidised off-white colour. A cast copper alloy sword belt fitting; in plan the fitting is a sub-rectangular plate from which there are two integral circular loops positioned on the lower edge towards each corner. Medieval copper alloy tongue-shaped two-part strap-end with a cusped trefoil knop, three rivets and, on the front face, three pairs of very faintly engraved transverse lines, next to the attachment edge, at mid-point and next to the base of the knop. Between the latter two an edge-to-edge saltire of rocker-arm engraving is just visible. The whole is distorted. Length 52mm. Width at the attachment edge 14.5mm, width before the knop 12mm. The gap between the plates for the strap is c.20mm in length. 14th century.
