A worn, broken and heavily clipped silver long cross penny. The clipping is unusual in that instead of the metal around the periphery being removed by shears it appears to have been punched, perhaps using an annular cutter. Apart from the small amount of missing edge it is perfectly round, concentric on the inner circle, and in places on the circumference shows slight signs of burring. Monarch and mint are unknown and the coin dates from circa AD 1461-1500. A cast lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to later Medieval date (1100 - 1500 AD). The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object has a large central circular perforation with an internal diameter of 8.74mm. The upper face of the object is decorated with a series of moulded pellets and radiating lines. There is a circular piercing in the center of the rounded element. This would have fitted over a peg on the cover of the book. A cast copper alloy fragment of a chafing dish dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object consists of an integral support which projects upwards and a small fragment of the rim. The dish support is sub-rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross-section. On the lower face of the rim fragment is a circumferential groove. File marks are visible on each face of the object. A copper alloy brooch dating to the Roman period. The object can probably be classified as a headstud type. The head is flat and the wings are short and incomplete. The bow tapers towards before terminating with a break. It curves slightly in profile. At the top of the bow is a raised oval moulding or headstud which is worn. The object is a sprung example and the spring remains complete and corroded. The pin and catchplate are missing. The object has a dark brown patina and is in poor condition. It can be dated from AD75-200.

Medieval silver annular framed brooch, complete but badly distorted. On the round-sectioned frame there are four spherical undecorated bosses and on the round-section pin, adjacent to the loop, there is a larger, brambled boss or collar. Diameter c.20mm. Diameter of the frame's cross-section 1mm. Weight 1.67. Incomplete cast lead apothecary weight block, square in plan and flat in profile, missing a corner, and therefore about a quarter, of the plate which is 23 mm by 21 mm. There is a serifed letter 'F' above a lombardic 'n' in two quarters of the four, divided by a cross-shaped border, but the letter to the left of the F is illegible. Incomplete cast copper alloy spur, missing its attachment terminals on its bent shanks, which would have attached to the heel of the boot. The shanks, which are D-shaped in plan and section, would have tapered towards these terminals and widen to 14 mm in height where they meet the neck of the rowel box. The rowel box then curves downwards and is ovate in plan and crescentic in profile, with a 11 mm long and 4 mm wide rowel slot, but missing its rowel and pin to hold it in place.
