A knapped secondary flake knapped from an flint which is now a mottled grey colour. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion, bulbar scars and concentric ripples. The dorsal surface has small feint scars near the edges which are not re-touch, but small transverse flakes. The lateral and distal edges have large flake scars which have been bisected at each end. This is probably a core rejuvenation flake. The flake weighs 4.9g and measures 26.61mm long, 22.48mm wide and 10.62mm thick.
This is probably a core rejuvenation flake dating to the Neolithic to early Bronze Age (-2500 to -1500).

A knapped late Neolithic scraper on debitage. In plan the scraper is an asymmetrical sub semi-circle. The dorsal and ventral faces are covered with a patina, but the dorsal face is has retouch around the lower curved edge, the distal end. The retouch is formed by small negative scars removing the patination. The angle of the retouch is c. 45 degrees. The ventral face (smooth face) has a bulb of percussion, and ripples. A knapped flint pointer: The point is an elongated asymmetrical triangle in plan. It is triangular in section. On the lateral edges there is some re-touch. One lateral edge is concave almost forming a notch. The point weighs 0.9g and measures 19.62mm long and 16.04mm wide.
The point is probably Mesolithic (-8300 to -4500).

Early Bronze Age copper alloy (slightly flanged) flat axehead. The two largest faces are covered in length-wise elongated scalloping, probably working marks from the cast. The blade facet is c11mm on one side and c3mm on the other. There is no visible evidence (eg. micro scratches) of sharpening on the blade. There is minimal pitting and corrosion on the surface and what there is seems to be the result of the use of poor quality ore or alloy. The flake is prehistoric, probably dating to the Mesolithic to Neolithic period (-8300 to -2100) when considering the size of the scars on the dorsal surface.

Lead alloy uniface token or medallion or possibly a Medieval pilgrim souvenier. It has suffered a little damage to the edge and is quite heavily worn. One face is totally unadorned. The other depicts two human headed birds or harpies facing each other with their bodies facing out, and a central object that may be a simplified tree or palm.
The diameter is 20mm, and the weight is 3.07g.

A Neolithic flint blade: In section the blade is trapezoidal and triangular as the dorsal surface has three main linear vertical scars, and the ventral surface has ripples, and bulb of percussion. The distal end is missing. It measures 27.7mm long, 15.3mm wide, and weighs 2.8 grams. The flint is mottled pale brown/cream in colour.
The blade dates to the Neolithic period (-3500 - -2100).

Early medieval (Viking) hollow cast copper alloy top guard from a Viking sword. It is gently curved in profile and canoe shaped in plan. There are remains of tinned or silvered decoration on one face and on the other there are scars that probably relate to a pommel. There is also what appears to be remnant coating of some sort, possibly gilding, tinning or silver. The longer sides exhibit what may be the remains of some interlace decoration.The hole for the oval profile blade or tang measures 11mm by 7mm. It bears similarities to LIN-7FE604.

A cast lead alloy spherical sword or dagger pommel. Probably Medieval. There is extensive iron staining on it, almost certainly from the remnants of the tang. Spherical sword pommels (Ward Perkins, Type VI), were most common in the 13th century but survive into the 14th century ("London Museum Medieval Catalogue", Ward Perkins, 1940, pp. 21-38) and then become more popular again in the 15th century. The diameter is 31mm, and the weight is 101.93g. Dates to between c1200 & c1500 AD.

Part of a Romano British cast copper alloy 'crossbow' brooch. It consists of the head and most of the bow. The catchplate and pin are lost. The brooch shares similarities with Hattatt types 102, 103, and 104 (cf. Hattatt, R, 1982. Ancient and Romano-British Brooches Dorset Publishing Company, Sherborne : ppp.122-3, pl.53).
The length is 48mm, width 43mm, thickness 32mm, and the weight is 30.9 or 1.41g. Dates from c300 to c399 AD.

A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular unifaced token, dating to c. AD 1250-1800. Powell Type 14. The token has been cast with a raised design of a equal arm cross with a pellet in each quarter on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. The token measures 17.94mm in diameter, 2.65mm thick and weighs 3.7 grams.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1800 AD). Until recently cross and pellet designs were thought to be contemporary with the …

A Post Medieval complete cast unifaced circular lead alloy token, dating from c. AD 1550-1800. Powell Type 2. The token is decorated on the obverse side with the initial capital B with a pellet in each open segment of the B. The reverse is blank. The token is 16.82mm in diameter, 1.89mm thick and weighs 3.1grams. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; those with initials are generally thought to date to the Post Medieval period 1550-1800 AD.
