A complete cast copper alloy toggle clasp of post-medieval date. The toggle is probably a sword belt fitting and is of Reads Type 7. The main body of the clasp is ovate in shape with a concave reverse and a transverse ridge at one end from which a bulbous knoped terminal projects. The reverse of the knop is also concave and an iron rivet remains in place through it. A very small copper alloy medieval belt or strap fitting with hanging decoration. The copper strap is formed of a single rectangular sheet bent over on itself and secure to the strap by two copper alloy rivets, both extant. The loop of the strap bar holds a small trefoil openwork mount. Although a very small example, this mount is probably of a similar date and function, being a strap mount or fitting dating from the 13th - 15th Century AD.
