Two blades struck of prepared platforms, probably Neolithic in date, c.4000-2100 BC. 1. Tertiary blade. Prominent bulb of percussion, bulb scar and ripples on ventral face. Long aris down centre of dorsal face and negative bulb scars suggesting previous parallel removals. Possible snap at distal end. 55.5mm long, 19.4mm wide and 10.4mm thick; it weighs 8.19 grams. Knapped flint core with multi-directional working. The core has been worked down until exhausted with increasingly small removals. This may explain the multi-directional use. At some points ir appears to be kneeled with working in both directions off a ridge perhaps suggesting a Neolithic date. Translucent dark grey flint. A small amount (less than 5%) cortext survives at one point, this and the colour suggests imported downland flint. 28.16 grams.
