A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c. 1700 AD). The mount is plain and domed at the front and concave at the rear. At the rear are two, almost diametrically opposed tapering integral spikes. These are bent inwards and meet at the centre. They are circular in cross-section. The front has a dark brown patina and the rear has a buff coating. Diameter: 19.36mm; thickness: 13.42mm; thickness of main body: 6.72mm.
