A fragment of a late Medieval to early Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy purse frame, circa AD1450 - AD1550. The piece is partly bent, and is "V" shaped in cross-section at one end where it was broken in antiquity, and tapers to a point at the other. There is surface decoration of a single chevron of double lines adjacent to the break. A single hole 2.1mm in diameter in the edge of the frame, would have helped attach it to the purse fabric by sewing. The fragment represents a curved piece of the frame which tapers towards its end, and then ends with a rectangular terminal. Along most of its length, the fragment is "D" shaped in cross-section. There is a single hole 3.4mm in diameter, which would have aided the attachment of the frame to the fabric of the purse by sewing. A cast copper alloy two piece strap end dating to the Medieval period. The object is tongue shaped in plan and consists of two sheets of copper alloy held together by a rivet at each end. Each rivet remains in-situ. There is no evidence of a side strip. The object is undecorated and has a smooth mid-green patina. A small fragment of possible leather remains between the two sheets.

A cast copper alloy strap mount dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is a bar with a central and terminal lobes. The object is D-shaped in cross-section. Each terminal lobe is perforated but only one retains the rivet for attachment. The central lobe has been decorated with four transverse grooves. Each ridge between the grooves is decorated with shallow vertical grooves. The object has a dark greenish brown patina.
