A cast copper-alloy object, probably either a stud from an item of furniture or a gaming counter for a game such as cribbage. The object terminates in a conical head and an integrally cast shank emerges below. This tapers gradually to a point. The relatively crude appearance of the shank perhaps suggests that it was intended to remain hidden, making a stud from a piece of furniture more likely than a gaming piece. The object is heavily abraded and corroded and now has a dark green to brown colour, missing most of its suface patina. The object lacks any distinuigishing characteristics …

A complete cast copper-alloy ring of Unknown date. This circular ring may be a harness fitting. The outer face is convex and the inner face is bevelled on either side of its circumferential centre-line. It is slightly flattened at one point on the outer face. This ring has a mid-green patina and tiny damaged areas that are similarly patinated. There is no wear on the inside. Outer diameter: 18.41mm; inner diameter: 9.64; maximum width: 6.09mm; maximum thickness: 4.95mm. Weight: 5.58g.

A complete copper-alloy with iron core unidentified object, possibly a furniture fitting of possible Roman date. The artefact is circular in cross section and has a tapering conical tip. The top of the artefact has a flat circular section at the tip with a protruding corroded iron shank. The artefact has a raised median band adjacent to two concave bands before expanding towards the conical tip. Iron corrosion product is visible at the tip.

Roman cast copper-alloy developed T-shaped brooch with hinged pin dating to c. AD 75-150. The pin is mostly missing. The brooch head has open-ended cylindrical wings, these hold the axis bar for the hinged pin. A white paste/cement is visible at the ends. There is a large transverse slot through the centre of the underside of the head, between the wings, where the remnants of the pin survive. A cast copper-alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type, West Midlands), Mackreth 2011, 4.d, pg.73, Plate 47, dating from the late first to second century AD. The brooch is of Polden Hill type and has the characteristic semi-circular wings with circular plates on the end, open at the back for the sprung pin mechanism. It consists of conjoined oval and rectangular loops separated by a narrow, rectangular collar with rounded ends. The larger, oval loop is itself of oval section and is tapered.
