A post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (1500-1700 AD).
This mount is slightly convex at the front and largely flat at the rear. It has a fleur-de-lis at the top of a tapering neck, below which are two arms curving out and upwards, one at each side. The ends of these almost make contact with the outer petals of the fleur-de-lis. Below the arms the mount widens and has two raised parallel ridges and then an oval section which terminates with a small projecting lobed terminal with one raised ridge.
